  "New Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) iPod nanos will reportedly be priced inline with current nano-models, and will not replace iPod shuffles, reports AppleInsider.com. Apple is scheduled to introduce new products this Wednesday at its ""special event,"" and the new nanos are expected to have a 1.7 inch display with similar dimensions as the second-generation clip-on iPod shuffle. Sources told AppleInsider that new nanos will cost about the same price as the current nanos; current 8GB nanos are $149 and 16GBs are $179. Sources added that though the sixth-generation nanos will likely be unveiled at the event, they will not hit tech shelves till later.SmarTrend currently has Apple in a Downtrend. CLEVELAND, Ohio -- It would be a stretch to say that Big Brother will hang out in Clevelanders' trash cans, but the city plans to sort through curbside trash to make sure residents are recycling -- and fine them $100 if they don't. The move is part of a high-tech collection system the city will roll out next year with new trash and recycling carts embedded with radio frequency identification chips and bar codes. The chips will allow city workers to monitor how often residents roll carts to the curb for collection. If a chip show a recyclable cart hasn't been brought to the curb in weeks, a trash supervisor will sort through the trash for recyclables. - (Boston Heral) Logan airport security just got more up close and personal as federal screeners launched a more aggressive palms-first, slide-down body search technique that has renewed the debate over privacy vs. safety. The new procedure - already being questioned by the ACLU - replaces the Transportation Security Administration's former back-of-the-hand patdown. Boston is one of only two cities in which the new touchy-feely frisking is being implemented as a test before a planned national rollout.
