  This is an introduction video to the ministry of International Training & Equipping Ministry. We conduct Bible and theology seminars for the pastors in several African countries who have no Bible training and will never enter a Bible school classroom. This number includes 90% of them. The effects of having so many untrained pastors are devastating. The traditional African worldview, including witchcraft and ancestor worship, are brought into many churches. The prosperity gospel flourishes. False teachers and false prophets take advantage of the church goers and take money from them in the name of God. So our training is crucial. It provides pastors with a biblical foundation, makes them aware of the false teaching around them, and equips them to protect their flocks from these false teachers. (PLEASE NOTE: THE NUMBERS THAT REFER TO THE NUMBER OF PASTORS THAT HAVE BEEN TRAINED WERE CURRENT IN SEPTEMBER 2007. PLEASE IGNORE THEM. EVERYTHING ELSE IS AS RELEVANT TODAY THAN THEY WERE IN SEPTEMBER 2007).

  No guts no glory - equipping my NES...
  This video I took whilst opening up my spare Nes Toaster that had some sort of non-functioning extra button on the front. It turned out that it had wires connected to the region lock-out chip so I expected it to work like a region mod but all it did was crash the Nes. It also caused this particular Nes to have the blinking screen more than my other systems so I wanted to find out if the button was causing this behaviour and if so get rid of it altogether. It was wired to different two different pins - not the well known pin 4 - so I decided to desaulder the wires and clip pin 4 of the chip to see if that helped. Well removing the button from the chip didn't improve things so I guess the region lock out chip must have become faulty. I opted to clip pin 4 from the chip - bent in upwards and this made the console function properly again. Now it takes all sorts of carts PAL/NES even Famicom carts with an adapter. The raster interrupt timing in some NTSC games is off - for example Galaxians - so that the NTSC game is not playable. The PAL edition is. So some games won't run properly but around 99% will function just fine albeit a bit slower. Modding the console to 60Hz is not possible as the Video and CPU chips are clocked differently in PAL and NTSC systems. So perhaps I should get myself another Dogbone or NTSC Toaster and do the same thing to it. Any suggestions what I could use the extra button on the front for?
