  Georgina Whitehead at The Lincoln D...
  Georgina Whitehead performed an intimate lunchtime recital at The Lincoln Drill Hall and LYJA Journalist Lucy was there to have a chat with her after her performance. Georgina Whitehead studied with Jane Bentley and Carlos Bonell. In 2002 she was awarded The Michael Badminton String Prize in the Norfolk Young Musicians Competition and was awarded grants to further her career from the Norfolk Youth Music Trust. In 2004 she began her studies at Trinity College of Music, Greenwich, London with Roland Gallery and Graham Devine. In July 2007 she graduated with a first class BMus (Hons) degree and was also awarded a Silver Medal for String Studies and the Montagu Cleeve Guitar Prize. She was awarded two annual scholarships to continue her studies on the MMus course at Trinity College of Music which Georgina completed in July 2009, passing with merit. During her time on the MMus course she also completed an LTCL diploma. In September 2004 Georgina performed, recorded and filmed with Emily Blunt, Bill Nighy, Miranda Richardson, Robert Lindsay and Ronnie Ancona for the BBC film Gideons Daughter written and directed by Stephen Poliakoff, which was broadcasted in February 2006. Georgina worked alongside the composer Adrian Johnston and actress Emily Blunt for the films main theme-tune: Natashas Song which was nominated in the Music and Lyrics category at the 58th Annual Creative Arts Emmy Awards, Los Angeles in August 2006.
