It’s funny how you can see something and it just so strongly reminds you of something else you’ve seen before, like this very subtle Golden Robot USB Drive that I just can’t seem to put my finger on.  Every time I glance at it I just hear this annoying voice yammering off a bunch of ridiculous survival statistics.  It’s just the strangest reaction.  Clearly this robot is nothing more than a gold robot and that’s...

Toshiba says their new SDHC cards are the fastest in the world. Back in the golden age of ocean going travel, companies like Cunard, White Star and the like were involved in a travel style arms race, each vying for the fastest steam ship. And the winner was usually the one who travelled from London to New York in the fastest time (as signified by the Blue Riband …  Read More →

When you’re decorating something with icing you’re usually stuck with some squishy bag to write with, which just feels a little unnatural.  If it feels unnatural, then your writing and decorations are not going to be nearly as pretty.  Now you could get used to that squishy bag, but only if you do that sort of thing often.  For those that don’t there is this Frosting Deco Pen. There are all sorts of colored pens out there,...

If you don’t have someone on hand at all times to rub that kink out of your neck, then you might want to invest in these gloves.  They’ll massage anywhere you need it with little vibrations, plus since they’re gloves you can really dig into any sore spots on your low back and neck. Each of the fingertips vibrate between 16,000 and 18,000 vibration impulses.  The average massage device actually only offers 4,000 impulses per...

This is the Finis Swimsense wrist-worn performance monitor, and it is made for swimmers. It has some sort of internal motion sensors, and I cannot believe how accurate they area. Apparently, the Finis Swimsense can detect how many laps that you took, and what pace that you took them at. It can even calculate how many strokes you took to get there, and what you were doing. I guess your arm reacts differently when you do the breaststroke, as opposed...

We know that kids these days who have had a taste of modern video games will probably pooh pooh the 8-bit and 16-bit titles of yore, mainly because there are no snazzy 3D graphics to look at. Well, that’s because they have a choice, but bundle them into a car on a 3-day long road trip and see whether they will change their mind or not. Instead of looking out the window and going through their favorite movies time and again, why not “torture”...

I’ve never had a thought to buy a connector that would allow a hose to be hooked up to the indoor faucet.  Yet it actually would open up a whole lot of possibilities.  Although I can’t see much use for a hose indoors, but  having a hose that could offer warm or hot water could be handy for various tasks though. One of the big ones is giving the dog a bath.  I’ve never liked giving a dog a bath indoors, but it seems mean...

Cases offer to protect gadgets, but they should do more than that.  After all, some cellphones can double as a flashlight, an MP3 player and even their own miniature computer.  It would seem that putting a case that can only do one function on such a versatile gadget is just wrong.  Thankfully there is the iBottleopener that can open up your beers and keep your iPhone safe. This case won’t even block any ports, so you…  Read More →
